An arm lift, also known as a brachioplasty, is a surgical procedure to remove the excess skin and fat of the upper arms (‘bingo wings’) that hangs down underneath the arms. Mr Thornton performs this procedure under general anaesthetic, an incision being made from the armpit down towards the elbow on the inside of the arm. Excess skin and fat will be removed and the skin tightened to get a smooth contour to the arm. This procedure may be combined with liposuction if indicated to get the best result.
You are left with a scar after the procedure on the inside of the arm but most patients are happy to accept the scarring in exchange for a taut, smoother appearance to the arm and this procedure has a very high satisfaction rate.
